David McDonald 

My role as a Client Director is centered around delivering a first-class and transparent service direct to my clients. Having been in the insurance industry for over 20 years, I appreciate the complexities and potential pitfalls of the journey, helping clients to navigate the technical landscape. I started in marketing for a brokerage before moving towards being an Account Executive. The role helped me develop my customer service skills and gave me insight into the importance of honesty and trust within business relationships. I am working on replying to all my clients’ requests promptly, even if just to acknowledge that you are working on it; efficient and clear communication is essential when you are looking after someone’s livelihood. I specialise in a wide range of sectors which include construction, engineering, tradesmen, motor trade, and anaerobic digestion plants. Such industries are incredibly interesting and contain their own unique risks which keep me engaged in my work. I understand the differences that each sector holds and the requirement for a tailored, personalised approach when providing risk management advice.  

 Freedom and Autonomy

Some of my colleagues work at Konsileo and spoke highly of it, so I had to find out what it was all about. The flat management structure means the autonomy is with the individual, giving me freedom to truly place my client’s interests at the heart of everything I do.  

 Family, Golf, and Football

Outside of work, you can usually find me spending quality time with my daughter, playing golf, and following Chelsea F.C.
