Client Director

As a client director, the most important thing is looking after my clients and their needs. I enjoy the more complex and technical sectors of insurance, such as manufacturing and construction, although I don’t limit myself to those. Having started in insurance with Eagle Star in Edinburgh when I was 17, over the years I have gained invaluable skills in client relationships and have grown my knowledge of both the industry as a whole and specific sectors. One of my previous roles was a business development manager, which gave me an appreciation of the difficulties of insurance, the problems that arise, and how to solve them; I certainly now empathise with every part of the industry.

Having no micromanagement and freedom to manage my own time, I am able to remain focussed at work and ensure I can give my clients the time that they deserve. The large market that we have access to means we have plenty of options for placing risks, and the support from my other colleagues makes me feel so much more appreciated than in other jobs.

Outside of broking, I enjoy holidays in the sun, motorbiking, and walking. I have previously played hockey and football, was fairly good at skiing and have run marathons, half marathons, and 10ks.
