Communication is the most important skill for a broker, as it prevents breakdowns and ensures the client receives the information they require. As a Client Director, I set clear expectations and regularly contact the client regarding strategies, risk management, and the industry’s topical matters. I specialise in healthcare and protection which I am incredibly passionate about. Having come from a family that worked in the sector, I understand its unique needs and risks. I have previously worked for insurers for many years before moving into a client-facing role as I wanted to see the direct impact of the services insurance provides. Both these perspectives, alongside my experience in both personal and commercial lines, means I take a holistic approach. Every week, I continue to learn more and more about the industry, maintaining my growth as a professional.
Whilst the concept of Teal was new to me prior to joining Konsileo, I now understand the benefits its culture brings. I love the self-management aspect as I am able to manage my own book of business in addition to the evolutionary culture. With colleagues working towards a similar goal, the atmosphere is an incredibly supportive one.
Outside of work, I volunteer for a homeless charity which I care about immensely. I also enjoy socialising and playing pool with my friends.
